Director, Product Manager

About the role
As a Director, Product Manager within High Income & Alternatives Technology, you will own and shape the technology platforms that support Fidelity’s rapidly growing High Income & Alternatives (HIA) business, focusing on Credit Alternatives. You will partner with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Traders, and Investment Services teams to deliver solutions for complex portfolio structures.
Key responsibilities
- Define feature and capability strategy aligned with product and business goals, including KPIs and roadmap themes.
- Own and maintain the feature/capability roadmap, balancing priorities and ensuring transparency.
- Coordinate alignment across product horizons and technology roadmaps, managing dependencies.
- Develop end‑to‑end use cases and experiences for investment professionals and operational staff.
- Conduct customer, business, and regulatory analysis to translate needs into clear product requirements.
- Manage intake and prioritization of new work requests, capturing data for decision‑making.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to translate intent into a well‑defined backlog.
- Engage with delivery teams through sprint planning, demos, and reviews, providing feedback and direction.
- Validate and accept delivered product changes against outcomes and quality standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a technology role or related field.
- Experience working with Front Office Investment Teams (Portfolio Managers, Traders, Quantitative Analysts) is a plus.
- Proven ability to establish and document product roadmaps, backlogs, and team priorities.
- Strong focus on execution and ability to identify and remove impediments for teams.
