Dispensing Optician – Full‑time position in Gorey

About the role

Specsavers in Gorey is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to join its brand‑new store. You will work as part of a 25‑person team delivering a high‑quality patient experience and using the latest clinical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense spectacles and contact lenses in accordance with prescriptions.
• Perform optical tests and use clinical technology, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), to support patient care.
• Collaborate with fully trained optical assistants and other staff to maintain smooth store operations.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.

Required profile

• Qualified and CORU‑registered Dispensing Optician.
• Confident, strong work ethic and willingness to succeed in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passionate about delivering excellent eye‑care and willing to go the extra mile for customers.
• Team‑oriented with a desire to encourage colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency in dispensing optical products.
• Ability to operate Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) equipment.
