Electrical Engineer – 4‑Day Week

About the role

Join a long‑established building services consultancy that operates under an Employee Ownership Trust model. Key responsibilities

• Design and specify cost‑effective electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, data and communications.
• Conduct site visits for appraisals, surveys and condition reports.
• Prepare technical documentation such as calculations, schedules, drawings and reports.
• Ensure designs meet performance, efficiency and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior engineers (for senior‑level candidates).

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in electrical building services design, either in consultancy or contracting.
• Open to both intermediate and senior‑level engineers.
• Level 4 qualification in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail and time‑management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MEP Revit.
• Proficiency with CAD software.
