Electrical Estimator – Data Centre Projects

About the role

The Electrical Estimator will support a growing pipeline of data centre and mission‑critical projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Working closely with commercial, engineering and delivery teams, you will drive the preparation of accurate and competitive electrical tenders from enquiry to final submission.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical tenders for data centre and mission‑critical projects.
• Produce detailed estimates covering power distribution, containment, cabling, lighting and associated systems.
• Complete electrical take‑offs and review drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value‑engineering options.
• Support pre‑ and post‑tender meetings with clients, consultants and supply‑chain partners.
• Manage tender queries, clarifications and follow‑ups.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet programme and submission deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical estimating or a commercial role within building services or critical infrastructure.
• Background in data centres, mission‑critical, industrial or technically complex projects (highly advantageous).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident working independently and as part of a wider commercial team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
