Electrical Maintenance Technician – Day Shift

About the role

This is a day‑shift position within the Operations & Maintenance team at a major biopharmaceutical site in Dublin. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will ensure maximum uptime of utilities plant and equipment while meeting regulatory and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work with shift technicians, especially during morning handovers.
• Troubleshoot and investigate utility plant faults, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Record and investigate compliance deviations on utility equipment.
• Execute planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Maintain and optimise the CMMS (Pemac) system and review maintenance programmes.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to develop team capability.
• Support site engineers with root‑cause analysis, capital improvement projects, and commissioning hand‑overs.
• Plan and execute complex utility service isolations for maintenance and projects.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement measures for plant efficiency.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree or diploma (desirable).
• 5+ years of industrial experience in a similar role.
• Senior Trades qualification, City & Guilds or equivalent.

Required skills

• CMMS (Pemac) operation.
• Predictive maintenance techniques.
• Reliability engineering methods.
• Medium‑voltage (MV) distribution knowledge.
• Experience with turbines, boilers, compressors, diesel generators and pumps.
