Electronic Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Electronic Engineer to lead the hardware and control system development for our autonomous biomanufacturing reactors. You will design the electronics that run the reactors and build the real‑time control stack that enables automated scale‑up across a fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop full‑cycle mixed‑signal PCBs, from schematic capture to layout and DFM/DFT.
• Write bare‑metal or RTOS‑based firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers, implementing control loops, data acquisition and communication.
• Develop real‑time PID and system‑identification algorithms for automated scaling and optimisation.
• Integrate sensors, perform signal conditioning, filtering, calibration and noise mitigation.
• Create test fixtures, conduct bring‑up, validation and safety testing for repeatable production.
• Use oscilloscopes and logic analysers to debug hardware, firmware and system‑level issues.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in hardware design and embedded firmware development, or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• Strong mixed‑signal fundamentals and comfort with full‑cycle PCB design.
• High agency, ability to work in an ambiguous, fast‑moving startup environment.
