About the role
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join the team at Wexford General Hospital. This full‑time, specified‑purpose position is based in the Dublin and South East health region and will provide emergency medical services to patients in County Wexford.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver acute emergency care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Lead and supervise junior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in on‑call rotas and out‑of‑hours emergency coverage.
Required profile
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent).
- Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
- Proficiency in English demonstrated by IELTS or OET.
- Relevant Irish clinical experience.
- Open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants.
