About the role
The position is for an Emergency Medicine Registrar in public and private hospitals across Ireland, commencing in July 2026. The role involves delivering safe, patient‑centred care within a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of senior consultants.
Key responsibilities
- Provide emergency care, assess, diagnose, treat and monitor patients, and order/interpret investigations.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
- Participate in clinics, ward rounds, meetings, case conferences and multidisciplinary discussions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues while upholding confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Engage in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, risk management and incident reporting.
- Adhere to legislation, organisational policies, working‑time regulations and contractual obligations.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and sustainable healthcare environment.
- Complete induction, mandatory training, CPD activities and performance reviews.
Required profile
- General IMC registration or in the final stages of registration.
- Successful completion of professional exams (e.g., MRCEM) or being in process.
- Proven post‑internship experience in Emergency Medicine.
- IELTS overall band 7 (minimum 6.5 per component) or OET Grade B.
- Availability to start in July 2026.
