Emergency Medicine Registrar – July 2026 Start

About the role

The position is for an Emergency Medicine Registrar in public and private hospitals across Ireland, commencing in July 2026. The role involves delivering safe, patient‑centred care within a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of senior consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emergency care, assess, diagnose, treat and monitor patients, and order/interpret investigations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
• Participate in clinics, ward rounds, meetings, case conferences and multidisciplinary discussions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues while upholding confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Engage in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, risk management and incident reporting.
• Adhere to legislation, organisational policies, working‑time regulations and contractual obligations.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and sustainable healthcare environment.
• Complete induction, mandatory training, CPD activities and performance reviews.

Required profile

• General IMC registration or in the final stages of registration.
• Successful completion of professional exams (e.g., MRCEM) or being in process.
• Proven post‑internship experience in Emergency Medicine.
• IELTS overall band 7 (minimum 6.5 per component) or OET Grade B.
• Availability to start in July 2026.
