Employee Relations Advisor

About the role

The Employee Relations Advisor provides expert guidance on employee relations matters across the business, ensuring fair and commercially‑focused outcomes. Working closely with managers and HR partners, the role handles cases from initiation through resolution while monitoring trends to inform strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations cases from start to resolution, meeting agreed service level agreements.
• Provide expert advice on HR policies, procedures and Irish employment legislation.
• Coach and support managers on handling employee relations and performance issues.
• Oversee workplace disputes, mediation processes and Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) cases.
• Monitor and analyse ER trends, contributing insights and reports for senior management.
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and HR colleagues.
• Contribute to ER initiatives, policy development and employee well‑being programmes.

Required profile

• Proven employee relations experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong understanding of Irish employment law and WRC procedures.
• Willingness to attend WRC hearings and related meetings as needed.
• Experience handling complex employee and industrial relations cases, including trade‑union engagement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with sound judgement and commercial awareness.
