Energy Engineer

About the role

EM3 is seeking an Energy Engineer to support senior consultants in delivering high‑quality energy management services to large‑scale industrial clients. Working in a hybrid model from Limerick, you will engage directly with customers to identify and implement solutions that reduce energy costs and improve sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting energy audits and climate‑action strategies, producing detailed opportunity calculations, audit reports and presentation decks.
• Prepare feasibility studies, measurement & verification (M&V) reports, and energy‑efficient design reviews.
• Provide expert advice on energy‑efficiency measures, renewable‑energy options and sustainability programmes.
• Develop customised energy plans that include cost‑saving initiatives, renewable‑energy systems and efficiency improvements.
• Drive sustainability programmes and guide clients toward energy certifications and carbon‑footprint reduction.
• Monitor industry regulations to ensure client compliance with energy‑efficiency standards and legal requirements.
• Identify relevant grant opportunities and advise clients on their applicability, leveraging them to expand EM3 service offerings.
• Work independently, solve problems proactively and support business‑development activities as needed.
• Prepare and present reports that explain potential energy savings, ROI and environmental benefits.
• Support clients in achieving ISO 50001 and other energy‑related certifications.
