About the role
This permanent, on‑site position is with a well‑established contract manufacturer of nutritional pharmaceutical products in West Kerry. The Engineering Manufacturing Manager will lead GMP compliance across manufacturing and maintenance, supporting production and engineering teams to ensure reliable, safe operations.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee GMP and health‑and‑safety compliance in manufacturing and maintenance areas.
- Maintain and improve preventive maintenance programmes and equipment reliability.
- Support SOP review, creation and updates, and manage deviations, change controls and technical reports.
- Lead equipment selection, qualification, calibration and capital purchase processes.
- Conduct internal GMP audits, assist QA/QC with investigations and support customer/regulatory audits.
- Monitor energy usage, manage inventory of critical spares and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate external contractors for calibrations and qualifications, and identify staff training needs.
Required profile
- Proven experience overseeing GMP compliance in both manufacturing and maintenance environments.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent background.
- Strong understanding of SOP management, health‑and‑safety standards and regulatory requirements.
