Engineering Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to drive high‑impact delivery in a fully remote, AI‑enhanced software environment. You will manage a small, high‑performing team while staying hands‑on with product development and technical decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3‑5 engineers, ensuring quality delivery and healthy dynamics.
• Balance leadership duties with active contribution to code and product features.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of team members.
• Drive planning, prioritisation, and execution to meet product outcomes.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the team, aligning with stakeholders.
• Define and implement AI‑driven engineering workflows and automation.
• Introduce testing, evaluation, and guardrails to guarantee reliable, secure software.
• Collaborate across functions to improve processes and system design.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 2‑5 engineers with responsibility for performance and delivery.
• Strong backend engineering background with production‑grade systems experience.
• Demonstrated ability to ship secure, scalable, and reliable software.
• Experience designing or adopting automation and workflow orchestration.
• Excellent communication skills and a leadership mindset.
