European Chief Information Security Officer

About the role

FNZ is seeking an experienced European Chief Information Security Officer to lead the regional security function. Reporting to the Head of Information Security, you will shape and execute the cyber‑resilience strategy for a fast‑growing, regulated financial services organisation serving over 20 million people.

Key responsibilities

• Lead information security management across scoped businesses, ensuring compliance with regulator and client expectations.
• Develop, implement and support FNZ’s European cyber‑resilience strategy in line with the global programme.
• Collaborate with the Group CISO to align regional activities with the Group strategy.
• Contribute to corporate security policies, standards and guidelines.
• Oversee audit preparation, RFP support and participation in client security committees.
• Manage a local team of security officers and analysts to deliver consistent global services.
• Promote a strong security culture throughout the organisation.
• Assess, analyse and report cyber‑risk to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading an information security function within financial services.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST 800‑53, COBIT and related risk‑management frameworks.
• Familiarity with audit standards such as ISAE 3402 and SOC 2.
• Expertise in European regulations including GDPR, DORA and the AI Act.
• Proven ability to manage regulator and client relationships.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Relevant professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC).
