Facilities Technician – Maintenance of Distribution Centre

About the role

Sysco is seeking a Facilities Technician to join its Dublin Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for maintaining the plant’s mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations across a multi‑temperature facility.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality maintenance services to keep plant equipment running efficiently and safely.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including PLC‑controlled equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Carry out electro‑mechanical repairs on high‑speed handling and packaging machinery.
• Provide technical support for compressed air, refrigeration and other plant services.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance routines and record all work in the CMMS.
• Update equipment records, enter data daily and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Strong awareness of quality, health and safety standards.
• Flexibility to work shift rotations and travel as needed.
