Faculty Liaison Officer

About the role

The Faculty Liaison Officer supports the operational, engagement, communications and governance activities of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland Faculties. Reporting to the Faculties Manager, the role ensures effective governance processes, strong stakeholder relationships and high‑quality digital administration across all Faculty functions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with Faculty Boards, Members, Fellows, sponsors and wider College stakeholders.
• Coordinate Faculty communications, including newsletters, updates, invitations and event‑related messaging, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
• Maintain Faculty web content and digital presence, monitor engagement metrics and recommend improvements.
• Assist in planning and reporting on Faculty events and sponsorship activities in line with College policy.
• Manage governance processes: schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, track follow‑up actions and support annual reporting.
• Contribute to governance reviews, identify risks or gaps and promote consistency across Faculties.
• Own Faculty‑level data accuracy, collaborate with relevant teams to ensure data integrity and support digital reporting tools.

• Demonstrated ability to engage professionally with senior academic and clinical stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills for coordinating meetings, events and communications.
• Attention to detail in preparing governance documentation and managing data.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and digital workflow optimisation.
