Finance Business Partner – MRO

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will be the key financial interface between Finance and Aircraft Maintenance Operations, supporting profitable, on‑time maintenance events and strengthening financial discipline across the hangars.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance partner to the COO across assigned hangars and programmes.
• Provide financial insight and challenge in operational forums such as pre‑input meetings, weekly production reviews and wash‑ups.
• Translate operational activity (man‑hours, materials, TAT, re‑work) into clear financial outcomes.
• Support decision‑making on slot utilisation, overtime, subcontracting and capacity trade‑offs.
• Track and analyse direct labour efficiency, productivity and non‑productive time.
• Monitor material consumption, scrap and third‑party costs against estimates and contracts.
• Develop and maintain KPIs covering cost, margin, utilisation and cash performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and margin enhancement.
• Partner with Commercial and Operations teams to support bid review and contract analysis.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial analysis within an operational environment.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to production leaders.
• Proactive approach to cost control and performance improvement.
• Experience working closely with senior operational managers, preferably in an MRO or aviation setting.
