Finance Manager – FP&A Lead for SaaS Operations

About the role

WP Engine is looking for a data‑driven, strategic Finance Manager to own the Financial Planning & Analysis function for its global SaaS business. You will be responsible for managing operational expenses and cost of goods sold across core product and service lines while partnering with department heads to allocate capital efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of three Financial Analysts, fostering strategic partnership with business units.
• Own P&L for SaaS functions, including COGS (cloud hosting, CX, CS) and OpEx (sales, marketing, product, engineering).
• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual budget‑vs‑actual variance analysis and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Track and analyze key SaaS metrics such as LTV:CAC, Magic Number, NRR, Rule of 40, and gross/net margins.
• Collaborate with Revenue and Data teams to automate financial models and reporting pipelines.

Required profile

• Data‑driven and strategic mindset with experience in SaaS financial operations.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a finance team.
• Strong partnership skills with cross‑functional leaders.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Proficiency in SaaS financial metrics and analysis.
