Finance Manager

About the role

This Finance Manager position supports the Managing Director and senior leadership team of a well‑established distribution organisation in Ireland. You will own the finance function, ensuring robust financial governance while delivering commercial insight that drives business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day finance function and produce accurate financial reports.
• Partner with the Managing Director and senior leaders to inform strategic and commercial decisions.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and the annual audit process.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance and statutory compliance.
• Deliver commercial analysis and performance insights to support growth.
• Oversee credit control and support commercial customer agreements.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting.
• Lead, develop and support the finance team.

Required profile

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous people‑management experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate financial data into business recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset.
