Finance Operations Manager

About the role

As a Finance Operations Manager at Primark, you will lead the end‑to‑end management of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payments across multiple entities. You will work closely with global business services teams and finance leadership to ensure accurate, high‑volume transaction processing and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end AP, AR and payments operations, overseeing invoice lifecycle, high‑volume transaction processing and period‑end deadlines.
• Oversee finance systems and reporting, ensuring effective operation of Oracle, SoftCo and automation tools while delivering insightful reports and dashboards.
• Lead query resolution and debt recovery, handling purchase‑order, invoice and vendor reconciliation issues, exception queues and collections.
• Maintain compliance, controls and risk management, adhering to VAT and statutory requirements, supporting audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage GBS and stakeholder relationships, acting as primary liaison with GBS teams in India, monitoring SLAs, KPIs and escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement and finance transformation through automation, standardisation, SOP development, system enhancements and change‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance operations experience in high‑volume, retail or shared‑services environments.
• Proven ability to manage AP, AR, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills within global business services models.
• Solid understanding of compliance, audit requirements and risk management.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP.
• Familiarity with SoftCo and invoice automation tools.
• Experience with ERP platforms and finance automation.
