Financial Accountant – Dublin

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is for a Financial Accountant to join a well‑established manufacturer and distributor of plumbing and building supplies in Dublin. You will be responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, supporting senior leadership and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and regional/divisional P&L reports.
• Conduct detailed budget‑vs‑actual analysis with insightful commentary.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed‑asset register.
• Perform cash‑flow forecasting, fund management and foreign‑exchange approvals.
• Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat and VIES returns for Ireland and the UK.
• Support payroll tax compliance, including BIK and P11D filings.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong ERP experience (Intact IQ, SAP or equivalent).
• Commercially minded with excellent communication across departments.
• Accounting qualification (IATI, Accounts Technician, or part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA) preferred but not essential.
