Financial Accountant – Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Financial Accountant will join BOYLE Sports' Finance team in Dundalk, supporting the company’s strategic growth through accurate and timely financial reporting. You will own month‑end processes, balance‑sheet integrity and regulatory returns while acting as a finance business partner across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly journals for retail and online revenue, salaries, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Assist Finance Managers in producing monthly management accounts, analysing variances to budget and prior year.
• Prepare quarterly betting duty returns and liaise with Revenue/HMRC as required.
• Reconcile all balance‑sheet accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis and maintain supporting schedules.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register for all BOYLE Sports Group companies.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Treasury and other internal departments to ensure correct cost recording.
• Provide insight for cost‑optimisation initiatives and support a culture of change.
• Support statutory financial statements and year‑end reporting under FRS 102.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure audit readiness and timely query resolution.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment and handle large data volumes.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and deadline orientation.
• Excellent communication, supervision and people‑development capabilities.
• Commitment to confidentiality, integrity and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Strong IT proficiency (e.g., advanced Excel, accounting software).
• Knowledge of FRS 102 and UK/HMRC betting duty regulations.
