Financial Accountant – FMCG Industry

About the role

Our client, a leading FMCG organisation, is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for delivering accurate monthly accounts, supporting statutory compliance and contributing to budgeting and cash‑flow processes.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Month‑end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Balance sheet and key P&L reconciliations
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Intercompany reconciliations and fixed asset management
• Oversight of VAT, PAYE/PRSI, VIES, Intrastat, and other statutory filings
• Preparation of annual financial statements and audit support
• Support process improvements and financial projects
• Assist with debtor/creditor management and KPI reporting

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with strong experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Excellent Excel skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach
