Financial Accountant — International Statutory Controllership

About the role

Meta is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join its International Statutory Controllership team. You will own end‑to‑end financial reporting for a portfolio of international entities, ensure statutory compliance, and help modernise accounting processes with AI and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full financial reporting cycle for assigned entities, including statutory statement preparation and auditor coordination.
• Handle both local GAAP accounting and consolidated U.S. GAAP reporting.
• Drive global controllership initiatives, establishing standards and scalable solutions.
• Research and resolve complex multi‑jurisdictional accounting issues.
• Identify and implement AI‑driven workflow redesigns to move from manual to exception‑based processes.
• Design, document, and roll out scalable process and system solutions that improve accuracy and reduce cycle time.
• Maintain robust internal controls, audit‑ready documentation, and SOX compliance.
• Communicate technical accounting matters clearly to stakeholders, auditors, and cross‑functional partners.
• Collaborate with technology, data, and operations teams to co‑develop AI solutions for reporting.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting background with experience in IFRS, local GAAP, and U.S. GAAP.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑entity consolidations and statutory reporting.
• Hands‑on experience or strong interest in applying AI, automation, and modern process design to accounting workflows.
• Detail‑oriented, with a track record of delivering accurate, error‑free financial statements.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
