Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our expanding accounting and financial control team within a fast‑growing tech company. You will work across two business units – vehicle tracking and monitoring, and medical imaging – and will have clear opportunities for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and timely management reporting.
• Prepare statutory reports and annual financial statements for entities in Ireland, the UK and Ireland under local GAAP or IFRS.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, managing the audit process from start to finish and addressing queries.
• Handle tax compliance, including corporation tax, VAT returns and other Irish filings, working with external tax advisors as needed.
• Identify and implement improvements and automation opportunities in reporting, close and compliance processes.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting; professional qualification highly desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Ability to work autonomously in a lean team, taking ownership of numbers and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Located close to the Dublin 18 office.
