Financial Accountant

About the role
The Finance team is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to support day‑to‑day finance operations, reporting and compliance. Reporting to the Finance Manager/Financial Controller, you will play a key part in month‑end close, analysis and process improvement within a fast‑moving international environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly financial close, including journal entries, accruals and pre‑payments.
- Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations, profit & loss reviews and financial analysis.
- Support the preparation of management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and monthly reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Support annual audits, regulatory reporting and tax compliance (VAT, statutory returns).
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and business performance reporting.
- Identify and implement finance process improvements and system enhancements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights for decision‑making.
- Undertake ad‑hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Required profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- 1–3 years post‑qualification experience in financial accounting or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, controls and reporting requirements.
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Self‑motivated, proactive and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
