Financial Accountant – Waterford (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established public limited company in Waterford that is expanding its finance team. The Financial Accountant will work in a hybrid setting, providing key support across financial reporting, compliance and people management within a structured, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
• Conduct profit & loss and balance sheet analyses with supporting commentary.
• Manage reconciliations and reporting across multiple entities and currencies.
• Liaise with internal teams and external auditors.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and audit processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and finance projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 0‑2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP (advantageous).
