Financial Analyst – FP&A for Sales & Marketing

About the role

Amwell is looking for a highly analytical Financial Analyst to join its FP&A team. The role will serve as the primary finance partner for the Sales & Marketing organization, supporting monthly reporting, KPI tracking, and the annual budgeting process.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales & Marketing stakeholders to provide financial insights and variance analysis.
• Build and maintain dynamic financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and decision‑making.
• Prepare and monitor sales‑centric KPIs such as ARR, retention, churn, and CAC.
• Maintain the SaaS revenue forecasting model and highlight trends, outliers, and risks.
• Collaborate with FP&A teammates to consolidate models and support organization‑wide analysis.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst or FP&A role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (MBA, CPA, CFA preferred).
• Strong communication, self‑starting attitude, and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Financial modeling and forecasting expertise.
• Understanding of SaaS growth metrics: ARR, retention, churn, CAC, LTV, LTV:CAC.
• Experience with SaaS revenue forecasting models.
