Motor Claims Handler

About the role

Join Sedgwick’s Motor Division as a Claims Handler, managing a portfolio of motor damage claims for key clients. You will assess liability and quantum, determine coverage and ensure claims are handled efficiently, compliantly and with a customer‑focused approach.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of motor claims in line with SLAs and KPIs.
• Assess liability and quantum, conduct investigations and decide on coverage.
• Communicate with customers, clients and colleagues, handling complaints when required.
• Negotiate and settle claims promptly while maintaining commercial awareness.

Required profile

• Experience managing motor claims in a similar environment.
• APA qualification minimum; CIP preferred and ongoing professional development.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and negotiation abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under dynamic, target‑driven conditions.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of motor coverages, liability and quantum assessment.
• Desktop investigation techniques and evidence review.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
