Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a well‑established Irish‑owned business that supplies products and solutions across commercial and consumer markets nationwide. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as a strategic partner to the senior leadership team, influencing decisions that drive growth and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and board reports.
• Deliver cash‑flow forecasts, margin analysis and commercial insight to support decision‑making.
• Own budgeting and forecasting processes with a strong focus on cost control.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial modelling and strategic planning.
• Manage audit, banking relationships, payroll and statutory compliance.
• Drive improvements in systems, reporting and processes to enable scalability.
• Lead and develop a small finance team.
• Contribute at board level to commercial strategy and growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
• Proven experience in a finance leadership role within a growing business.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing external auditors and banking partners.
• Proactive, driven and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
