Financial Controller

About the role

The company, a global technology leader in network security, is looking for a commercially‑focused Finance leader to join its Dublin leadership team. Reporting to the Group CFO, the role combines financial control with strategic business partnering in a fast‑growing SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
• Provide meaningful financial insight, commercial analysis and performance metrics across the business unit.
• Work closely with project managers on revenue forecasting, project profitability, margin analysis and cash‑flow planning.
• Analyse trends, risks, opportunities and key commercial drivers.
• Support leadership with clear commentary and recommendations to improve performance.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Drive financial planning across revenue, costs, profitability and cash flow.
• Oversee monthly management accounts and consolidated reporting.
• Manage revenue recognition and deferred revenue processes within a software environment.
• Lead and develop a small finance team.
• Build strong relationships across finance, operations, sales, project management and group functions.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
• Approximately 5 years’ experience operating at Financial Controller level.
• Strong commercial finance and business‑partnering capability.
• Experience within software, SaaS or technology environments (highly advantageous).
• Deep understanding of revenue recognition and deferred revenue.
• Proven experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and act as a true commercial partner.

Required skills

• Salesforce (experience preferred).
• NetSuite (experience preferred).
