Financial Controller

About the role

This senior finance leadership position is with a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed company that is scaling rapidly. The Financial Controller will be the central figure for financial control, reporting and process improvement, working closely with senior leadership and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accurate, timely monthly reporting and strengthen financial controls, reconciliations and KPI visibility.
• Produce high‑quality management information for senior stakeholders and ensure reliable finance outputs.
• Review and improve finance processes, reduce manual work, and enhance system integration across finance and operations.
• Implement structured purchasing, billing, payroll and supplier management processes.
• Support operational teams with margin analysis, cost drivers, pricing insights and project profitability.
• Maintain compliance with VAT, payroll obligations and sector‑specific financial controls, including subcontractor payment processes.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with strong financial control and commercial awareness.
• Proven experience in a scaling environment, capable of bringing structure and discipline.
• Hands‑on leader comfortable with high visibility across senior leadership and investors.
• Ability to develop finance teams and drive continuous improvement.
