Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will own the finance function and act as a commercial partner to the wider business. This hands‑on position focuses on delivering robust financial control while providing insight that drives performance and supports growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and performance reports for senior decision‑making.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and provide forward‑looking analysis.
• Engage with operational teams to challenge performance, identify opportunities and improve margins.
• Manage cashflow and working capital to ensure the business can fund operations and investments.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls, ensure statutory compliance and lead the audit process.
• Develop the finance team and enhance systems, processes and reporting capabilities.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with significant senior, commercially focused experience.
• Strong mix of technical expertise and business acumen, able to influence leadership.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality financial information and using insight to drive performance.
• Experience in a multi‑site or operationally complex environment is highly advantageous.
• Leadership capability, proactive mindset and excellent analytical skills.
