Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing environmental business in Dublin. Reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a team of four, the role combines financial reporting, budgeting and commercial analysis in a hybrid working model (three days on‑site).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
• Deliver budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Monitor financial performance and provide commercial insights.
• Maintain strong financial controls across cash management, debtors, payments and reconciliations.
• Oversee treasury management and cash flow.
• Ensure VAT and Corporation Tax compliance.
• Maintain and develop Microsoft Business Central reporting and controls.
• Partner with operational teams on budgets and expenditure.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Support audit processes and Audit & Risk Committee requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with at least five years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a commercial, service‑driven environment.
• Strong background in management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven team‑management abilities.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
