Financial Controller

About the role

Join DLL Ireland’s finance team as a Financial Controller and play a pivotal role in a dynamic, growth‑focused organisation. You will work alongside experienced finance professionals to ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and continuous improvement of financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the month‑end close, ensuring the general ledger complies with DLL and IFRS standards.
• Review monthly balance‑sheet files, identify improvements, and implement enhancements.
• Lead the annual year‑end audit and early‑warning audit, liaising with external auditors and addressing action points.
• Implement and monitor the risk‑control framework and drive financial process optimisation.
• Manage corporate tax and VAT return processes, ensuring timely compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, or ACA) with strong accounting discipline.
• Practical knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102.
• Operational understanding of VAT and corporate taxation matters.
• Familiarity with Irish regulatory filing requirements and statutory deadlines.
• Proactive, self‑starter with excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102 reporting standards.
• Experience with VAT and corporation tax compliance.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Financial Management System (advantage).
