Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance function for a leading international manufacturing business in Dublin. This hands‑on position offers high visibility with senior leadership and the chance to shape commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and variance analysis.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Produce financial reports and commentary for senior management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manage cashflow and working capital.
• Ensure robust financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisors and other external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance systems, reporting and processes.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience preparing management accounts.
• Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Enjoys a collaborative, hands‑on working environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
