Financial Controller – Leading Irish Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a market‑leading privately owned Irish company based in the South East. You will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership, providing financial insight that drives strategic decisions and supports the business’s growth trajectory.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and year‑end financial statements.
• Develop presentations and insightful financial analysis for senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term strategic plans.
• Partner with operational teams to deliver commercial insights and financial support.
• Monitor overheads, identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive efficiency initiatives.
• Support the CFO on ad‑hoc commercial and strategic finance projects.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders and external advisors as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with 8+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Training in a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting practice.
• Industry experience within a commercial business environment.
• Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders.
• Ambitious professional seeking long‑term progression.
