Financial Controller – Management Accounts & FP&A

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a leading Irish company in West Dublin. The role will focus on delivering timely management accounts, driving the budgeting and forecasting process, and overseeing a small finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts within three weeks of period end, including full variance analysis.
• Lead the annual budget and forecast process, providing accurate financial projections.
• Manage and develop a finance team of six, covering credit control, assistant accounting, and financial accounting functions.
• Maintain and enhance the ERP system (Microsoft Business Central) and its integration with the CRM.
• Oversee cash flow, payments, bank reconciliations, debtor management, and invoicing controls.
• Ensure tax compliance for VAT, ERR, and Corporation Tax.
• Liaise with the Audit & Risk Committee and the CFO on financial matters.
• Provide financial oversight of operations, monitoring actuals versus forecast and budget.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives across the business.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant, preferably practice‑trained, with 5+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a commercial, service‑driven Irish business environment.
• Strong people‑management skills with a proven track record of developing teams.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally with non‑finance stakeholders.
