Financial Controller – Pharma Start‑Up (Remote/Flexible)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing pharma start‑up in Dublin, is looking for its first finance hire. Reporting directly to the founders, you will build a robust finance function and enjoy a highly flexible, remote‑first working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Prepare financial accounts, perform analysis and deliver regular reporting.
• Design and implement a scalable finance structure and define processes across Europe.
• Lead corporate finance activities such as fundraising, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Oversee tax compliance and statutory returns.
• Build and develop a finance team as the business expands.
• Participate in operational decision‑making and support strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with relevant finance experience.
• Experience in venture‑capital‑backed tech or start‑up environments is advantageous.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
