Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Westport Estate is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to support daily operations of its restaurants and bars. Reporting to the Restaurant & Outlets Manager, you will lead service teams, ensure high standards of guest experience, and maintain operational excellence in a historic venue.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, personalised service in line with brand standards and promptly address guest requests.
• Oversee daily set‑up, table allocations, and service readiness, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams.
• Maintain cleanliness, ambience and presentation of dining areas and ensure SOPs and closing procedures are followed.
• Supervise, motivate and brief staff on daily specials, menu changes and service priorities.
• Monitor stock levels of service items, linens and consumables, reporting shortages or waste.
• Support cash handling, billing and POS accuracy during service periods.
• Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of menu items, ingredients and beverage pairings, promoting specials.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety documentation.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in a supervisory or senior service role within hospitality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a people‑first mindset.
• Ability to lead by example in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Required skills

• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Experience with reservations management.
• Basic reporting capabilities.
