Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Remote – Ireland)

About the role

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join our team and build production‑grade AI systems for enterprise clients. The role is remote based in Ireland with occasional client visits and offers the chance to take AI solutions from prototype to secure, scalable deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services, APIs and data pipelines in Python.
• Develop and ship AI‑powered solutions using large language models, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and machine‑learning pipelines.
• Operate and scale production systems in cloud environments, applying containerisation and CI/CD best practices.
• Contribute to or lead system architecture depending on seniority.
• Work directly with clients to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and help define engineering standards.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering experience with Python.
• Hands‑on experience building and operating production systems in the cloud.
• Proficiency with container technologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of code quality, testing and maintainability.
• Interest in applying AI to real‑world problems and experience with AI/ML systems.
• Ability to work independently and guide others.
