Freight Coordinator

About the role

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Freight Coordinator for its Shannon operation. You will be responsible for the smooth daily handling of import and export shipments, ensuring timely collections, deliveries and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage import and export shipments from collection through final delivery, monitoring progress and updating milestones.
• Organise shipment collections and deliveries, ensuring accurate and on‑time documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal departments, overseas offices, airlines, customers and other stakeholders.
• Identify potential delays or operational issues and promptly escalate to supervisors or managers.
• Prepare and manage all shipping and customs documentation, ensuring completeness before submission to customs brokers.
• Liaise with customs brokerage teams to support clearance, providing commercial invoices and required paperwork.
• Update shipment information in relevant systems and ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with Irish Revenue regulations, government requirements and IATA security standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in air freight operations, preferably within a freight forwarding environment.
• Good understanding of air freight terminology and documentation such as AWBs, MAWBs and customs paperwork.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
