Front of House GP Receptionist – Galway

About the role

As a Front of House GP Receptionist at Medinet, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience in our Galway clinic. You will support the clinical team by managing appointments, handling referrals and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Keep the reception area clean, organised and well‑maintained at all times.
• Accurately input patient details into the Evolution system to maintain comprehensive records.
• Assess and prioritise patient referrals based on urgency and medical need.
• Contact patients to schedule appointments and confirm bookings.
• Scan and attach referrals to the appropriate patient file for easy accessibility.

Required profile

• Demonstrates Medinet’s core values: compassion, motivation, attentiveness, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
• Prior reception or administration experience is preferred, but strong passion for high‑quality care is essential.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS disclosure check and provide right‑to‑work documentation.
• Ability to work a rotating 2‑day schedule within a 7‑day service week.

Required skills

• Experience using the Evolution patient management system.

• Part‑time permanent contract (initially 20 hours per week) with potential to increase as demand grows.
