Full Stack Engineer – Innovation Team (Remote, Ireland)

About the role

Join the Innovation Team at Matomo to design and deliver privacy‑first analytics features. You will work remotely from anywhere in Ireland, collaborating directly with the CTO and senior engineers to turn high‑impact concepts into production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and implement new backend (PHP) and frontend (JavaScript) features that extend Matomo’s core platform.
• Explore additional technologies such as Python and Node.js when required.
• Rapidly validate product ideas, including AI‑powered insights and analytics.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery from concept through deployment and integration.
• Write automated tests, review code, and produce clear technical documentation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional experience in backend development with PHP.
• Strong ability to work autonomously in a small, remote team.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can identify and remove blockers.
