Full-Time Deli Assistant

About the role

EUROSPAR Castlecomer is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer‑focused Deli Assistant to join the team on a full‑time basis. You will help deliver an excellent shopping experience by providing high‑quality food products and outstanding service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve deli products in accordance with food safety and company standards
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product queries
• Ensure food is presented attractively and displayed to a high standard
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and stock levels
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the deli area
• Follow HACCP procedures and food safety regulations at all times
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operation of the department

Required profile

• Previous experience in a deli, food service, retail, or customer‑facing role (desirable but not essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety regulations
• Familiarity with HACCP procedures
