Full‑Time Physiotherapist

About the role

CareChoice is seeking a dedicated full‑time Physiotherapist to join the team at The Marlay Nursing Home. You will work directly with residents to improve mobility, manage pain, and support overall functional independence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess residents’ functional ability, health status and impairments through detailed history‑taking and review of care plans.
• Develop, implement and regularly review individualized treatment plans that align with residents’ goals and evidence‑based practice.
• Deliver physiotherapy interventions such as exercise therapy, mobilisation, joint and spinal rehabilitation, and post‑surgical care.
• Monitor outcomes using measurable indicators and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate residents, families and staff on prevention and management of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Participate in the management of the physiotherapy service, including staff induction, manual‑handling training and ongoing practice monitoring.
• Contribute to continuing‑education and research activities within the care team.

Required profile

• Qualified physiotherapist with registration to practice in Ireland.
• Experience working in a residential or nursing‑home setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families and multidisciplinary staff.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.
