Furniture Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Furniture Procurement Specialist will lead the sourcing and purchasing of furniture items, ensuring that quality, cost, and delivery targets are met. This role works closely with vendors, production teams, and installation crews to guarantee seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify new vendors based on capacity, financial stability, and past performance.
• Monitor production schedules, allocate resources, and issue RFQs.
• Manage the tender process to secure competitive pricing.
• Maintain long‑term factory partnerships for priority slots and better rates.
• Coordinate production of control samples to verify finish and quality.
• Work with the installation team to ensure correct placement according to layout plans.
• Oversee international shipping and last‑mile delivery to consolidation warehouses or project sites.
• Conduct market research at trade shows and factory visits to spot emerging trends and high‑capacity partners.
• Document all procurement activities, including RFQs, tender analyses, purchase orders, and approvals.
• Maintain accurate trackers for cost, status, delivery dates, and installation sequencing.
• Ensure compliance with internal approval processes and client reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in FF&E, manufacturing, or production environments, preferably in a buying role.
• Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and health & safety standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Organised and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
