General Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Address Collective is seeking a General Manager for The Address Sligo. The role leads all aspects of hotel operations, from daily staff management to guest relations, acting as the brand ambassador and strategic driver for service excellence, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee hotel operations in line with the organisational structure and standards.
• Conduct regular meetings and briefings with department heads.
• Ensure compliance with operating policies, service protocols, safety, legal, fire and health regulations.
• Lead capital projects, service improvements and renovations.
• Address guest complaints and manage service recovery.
• Prepare, present and achieve goals in the annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
• Monitor profitability, analyse profit & loss statements and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Maximise room yield through innovative sales and yield‑management strategies.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for ownership and stakeholders.
• Support procurement of supplies, equipment and third‑party services.
• Make final hiring decisions for key staff and mentor department leaders.
• Coordinate closely with department heads to ensure smooth execution of hotel operations.
• Support corporate client relations and assist the sales team in client acquisition.

Required profile

• Experienced, hands‑on hotel professional with a proven track record in managing both profitability and guest experience.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities, able to guide a diverse team of department heads.
• Flexible and available to work in a dynamic hospitality environment.
• Ability to work closely with hotel ownership and key stakeholders.
