General Manufacturing Operator

About the role

The General Manufacturing Operator will work on the Enteral Feeding Devices production line at Abbott’s Irish facility. Reporting to a Front Line Leader, the role ensures that daily production targets for quality, safety, quantity and volume are met while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out direct production operations on the manufacturing line.
• Perform machine adjustments and set‑ups as required.
• Inspect products, record results and disposition non‑conforming items.
• Handle raw materials and finished goods according to process instructions.
• Complete all required documentation and follow Good Manufacturing Requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to waste‑control guidelines.
• Train new employees on line procedures and safety standards.
• Execute line clearances and perform required computer applications.
• Participate in projects such as product transfers, equipment validation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support environmental procedures, including recycling and waste minimisation.
