General Practitioner – Private Healthcare Clinic

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join a well‑established private healthcare clinic in Edenderry, Offaly. The role offers a supportive, non‑HSE environment with competitive earnings and flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality GP consultations for acute and chronic conditions, both in‑person and remotely.
• Diagnose, treat and manage health issues across all age groups and perform minor procedures as required.
• Order and interpret investigations and refer patients appropriately to specialist services.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with GDPR and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and allied health professionals and participate in clinical governance.

Required profile

• Primary medical degree and MICGP (or equivalent such as MRCGP / FRACGP).
• Full, unrestricted registration with the Medical Council of Ireland (GP Division).
• Completion of an accredited GP training programme.
• Valid medical indemnity insurance.
• Current mandatory training in BLS, safeguarding and infection control.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Safeguarding procedures.
• Infection control protocols.
• Minor procedural skills.
• Clinical record management with GDPR compliance.
