Global Accounting Manager

About the role

Sitecore is seeking a Global Accounting Manager to lead and scale its core financial close and controls across multiple entities. The role will own key balance‑sheet and P&L areas while collaborating closely with FP&A and other cross‑functional teams. This position requires a detail‑oriented, highly organised professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end close for multiple entities, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Review and approve accounting journals, including payroll, accruals, pre‑payments, intercompany, bank and debt entries.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and support senior accountants during the close process.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual reporting with variance analysis for management.
• Lead key accounting processes such as intercompany, treasury, leases (IFRS 16), payroll, accruals and R&D capitalization.
• Manage and mentor a team of six accountants, ensuring timely delivery and high‑quality work.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Compliance and other teams on financial initiatives and reporting.
• Support VAT reporting in EMEA, statutory audits and tax‑related requirements.
• Contribute to finance projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) or equivalent.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with global general accounting.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organised and able to prioritize individual and team objectives.
• Proven ability to identify efficiencies and improve processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Experience with VAT reporting, particularly in EMEA.
• Familiarity with statutory audit processes and tax compliance.
